I wonder if there are just so many places time can be set that it's getting confused as to which time zone adjustment needs to be applied. I'll test setting the bios, XClarity and ESXi all to the same time source then restart the host to see what happens. I'm not sure why the VMs still set their time to the host's time even with that setting disabled but I can address that be just checking after the restart. I assume the Lenovo XClarity controller time directly affects the bios time but I'm not sure. I could leave it set manually but computer time tends to drift sometimes so I don't like it this way - it's too easy to forget to set the time occasionally. Any more than that and people start to notice it doesn't match their phones, timeclocks, etc Anything over 5-10 minutes off and web sites won't work & clients can't browse servers. I prefer to be within a few seconds of correct, if possible.
The multiple hours of difference was causing clients to loose their connections, of course.
